On the weekends, me and Dave will usually pop to the shops to get treats, however because of lockdown it's not essential to be going to the shops for snacks and so I remembered at the last SBS event, we were waiting in queue next to the owner of The Sunflower Kitchen (Andrea) who specialises in patisseries.
We follow each other on Instagram so I got in touch to ask what was available to order. Andrea offers a personalised service and asked what my budget was and what my favourite flavours were. She then got to work and created a treat package to my budget which was posted to our house.
Is it me or are desserts deliveries becoming a thing now??....because my social media is filled with delicious looking pictures of yummy puddings and treats that can be delivered to your house.
Inside the package we received;
- Rhubarb and custard macarons
- Chocolate macarons
- Salted caramel brownie
- White and milk truffle diamond
- White chocolate, raspberry and rhubarb truffles
- Carrot cake pot
All this came to £20 plus p+p and the portions were big!!! My favourite was the carrot cake, it was the best carrot cake I've ever tasted, from the spices to the thick layer of frosting.
What I also loved about our package is that there was a cute handmade thankyou card included with a list of the items in the package plus allergens noted.
I would definately recommed trying out The Sunflower Kitchen, I'm sure Andrea can put together a great package for an afternoon tea !
